When and why did you start training for fighting? Always felt a need to be the best all-round martial artist of the world and try different disciplines. I started training in Sambo from 6 years old.

What ranks and titles do you hold? Hand-to-Hand Champion of Russia, 1st Place of Absolute Fighting Championship, 1st Place of Mixed Fighting.

Do you have any heroes? Oleg Taktarov and Fedor Emelianenko. Both are sambists and both have similar styles of fighting.

What is your favorite technique? Arm bar

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Currently it is the only goal in life - to win from the best.
