TRAINING: 5am - 8am warm-up. Boxing and Jiu-Jitsu with my team at Yuma United MMA. Then I go to work until 5pm. Back to the gym at 5:30pm-8:30pm for Wrestling and Strength and Conditioning.
When and why did you start training for fighting? In 2007 Chance Farrar was training for a fight with Urijah Faber and he asked me to train with him. A few months later I had my first MMA fight.
What ranks and titles have you held? Desert Rage Full-Contact Fighting - MW Champion, WFFMMA - MW Champion
Do you have any heroes? My parents
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? It is a dream come true for me to have the UFC give me another chance to prove that I deserve to be fighting the best guys in the world.
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? No
What was your job before you started fighting? Warehouse manager
Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Undefeated high school State wrestling champion my senior year. 32 of 35 of my matches were pins that year and I pinned all of my opponents during the championships.
