Biografía

When and why did you start training for fighting? Three years ago. I started because I can’t read very good, so I figured college wasn’t gonna work out.  Plus I knew I was gonna get into a bunch of fights anyway so I might as well do it where I won’t get arrested. It just turned out that I happened to be pretty good.

What titles have you held? Every one in the state of Kentucky

Do you have any heroes? Evan Tanner, BJ Penn, Georges St-Pierre

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Everything – it’s a dream

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? Let’s be honest, you don’t get good at fighting by going to college.

What was your job before you started fighting? Warehouse guy

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? Made it to the UFC...now the goal is the belt, and I will not settle for anything less.

Ranks in any martial arts styles: BJJ purple belt under Mike O’Donnell. Black belt in kicking ass

Favorite grappling technique: I’m so good at all of them it’s hard to pick

Favorite Striking technique: Elbows, knees, and my hook
