Biografía

Thoughts on Opponent, Joe Riggs? I have a lot of respect for him. He's a well rounded fighter that's super strong and hits like a ton of bricks. I'm expecting a tough fight that might go the distance. This is a fight that I'm really looking forward to and expect to win. Joe, thanks for this fight and good luck.
 
When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training originally to get in shape.  After about 9 months, I was excelling at what I was doing and was asked to try an amateur fight.  After winning my first fight and drawing in a second to a heavier opponent, I was very interested.  A few months later I was a last minute replacement for an eight man tournament with the IFC.  After winning that and hearing the crowd cheering, I was hooked.
 
What ranks and titles have you held? The only title that I have held is the Cobra Fighting Federation title which is now defunct.
 
Do you have any heroes?  Goku, Vegita, Old School Hulk Hogan, Chuck Liddell, Alucard from the Hellsing anime.
 
What is your favorite technique? I don’t really have one.
 
What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? This is a dream come true!  It’s an opportunity to compete with the best.  I’m very thankful to be here and consider it an honor.
 
Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I’ve been to some college.  School isn’t really a challenge for me, I have a 3.8 GPA at Cuesta in San Luis Obispo.  I’ll get back in there when I’m done fighting.
 
What was your job before you started fighting? I was loader/truck driver for a bread company.  I really hated this job.  I currently bartend.
