Biografía

TRAINING: Each day of the week is different, but usually starts with a hard training session in the morning, whether it’s bag work, sparring, or strength and conditioning. Then a recovery session of pool work, yoga, or pilates. Then in the evening I show up to the gym about an hour early whenever I go and do bag work or mitt work until class starts. I have class, skill work then recovery pool work or a sparring session, depending on what I have to do the next morning.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training years ago after watching GSP dismantle Matt Hughes for the title and decided I wanted to do this.

What ranks and titles have you held? I’m the Ring of Combat and Global Proving Grounds heavyweight champion

Do you have any heroes? My Uncle Fred and my Mother

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? The chance to test myself against some of the best fighters on the planet.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I did, but no degree

What was your job before you started fighting? Security mostly, some driving and restoration work

Specific accomplishments in amateur competition? Was undefeated as an amateur and won two amateur titles along the way
