Velickovic and Di Chirico Meet in Zagreb

A native of Serbia now fighting out of Denver with the Elevation Fight Team, Bojan "Serbian Steel" Velickovic will make his UFC debut in Croatia on April 10 when he faces fellow newcomer Alessio Di Chirico in a middleweight matchup.

Tickets for UFC FIGHT NIGHT ZAGREB go on sale on Friday, Feb. 12.

A purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the 27-year-old Velickovic (13-3) has won four straight leading up to his UFC debut, most recently submitting Benjamin Smith in the third round on Jan. 15. Unbeaten in nine pro bouts, Rome's Di Chirico is only the third Italy native to compete in the UFC in recent years, and there are high hopes for the 26-year-old to make an impact in the UFC for Italian MMA.

Also added to the event is a heavyweight bout between Marcin Tybura and Tim Johnson and a lightweight matchup pitting Mairbek Taisumov against Damir Hadzovic.
