Before Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor renew their rivalry in the main event of UFC 202 on August 20 in Las Vegas, two of their teammates will square off, as Octagon newcomer Chris Avila takes on former Ultimate Fighter finalist Artem Lobov.
UFC 202 takes place at T-Mobile Arena. In the co-main event, Anthony "Rumble" Johnson faces Glover Teixeira. Also featured on the card are welterweight matchups between Demian Maia and Carlos Condit and Rick Story and Donald Cerrone.
Seeking his first UFC win after losses to Ryan Hall and Alex White, Dublin's Lobov is hungry to set the stage for McGregor with a big victory. Lodi's Avila has the same intention for his teammate Diaz, and with three consecutive finishes, the Californian has momentum on his side.
