When and why did you start training to fight? When I was younger, because I was always getting into trouble.
What does fighting in the UFC mean to you? It means something very valuable to me. Getting here has always been a goal, and even more so, reaching the top.
Who is your favorite fighter and why? Conor McGregor, Ilia Topuria, and Edson Barbosa because of their great striking abilities.
Do you have a hero outside of the fighting world? The people who support me. They are my heroes and they keep me grounded.
Is there a cause you would like to support or promote using your platform? I just want to help the sport grow and be an inspiration to the next generation.
Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you? Knowing that nobody thought I would make it this far. Even the people closest to me used to tell me, “You should give it up and do something else.”
What was your job before you started fighting? Construction, delivery work, washing dishes, etc.

Tell us about your life outside of fighting: I’m an MMA instructor in my free time, and I like riding my motorcycle.
